Long-Term Contract

Tampa, FL (Hybrid, Travel Required)

We are searching for individuals who are enthusiastic about expanding their knowledge of internet and software products, possess a genuine passion for continuous learning, and thrive in collaborative team environments. The ideal candidate will be able to travel (expenses paid by company) at short notice for up to 1 week at a time.

Skill Set

• Basic understanding of networking or Wifi working with routers and modems
• Background in IT or Engineering
• Understanding of basic Linux, SQL and API technologies
• Ability to be flexible with travel and change in work deadlines

Responsibilities

• Testing products and features for CPE equipment that are going into production
• Team Leads will make sure everything is test ready and will create test plans for individuals to execute on
• Working in a lab environment to execute test plan
• Communicating with stakeholders to ensure all features are being tested properly and defects are recorded
• Creating tests to find any problems with software before the product is launched
• Identify and analyze any bugs found during testing and document them.
• Pay very close attention to detail and coach their team on managing testing tools, reporting results, and motivating process improvement.
• A normal workday for a quality assurance engineer includes developing new tests to run, running the tests, and documenting the results; if any defects are noted the quality assurance analysts will need to collaborate with the software developers to find a fix and patch the program.
• Once the defect has been patched, they will need to run the test again to make sure there are no new bugs and to make sure the defect found has been corrected

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
