$2500 Sign On Bonus! ($750 at 30 Days of employment, $750 at 6 Months and $1000 at 1 Year)

Starting Salary $24.44/hr

We are actively recruiting for multiple Manufacturing Operators to join our dedicated team located at our DuPont Water Solutions (DWS) FilmTec site in Edina-Minneapolis, MN. We are looking for people who have a passion for delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that meet our customer needs for a better, healthier, safer life. Water & Protection is a leading provider of engineered products and integrated systems for the construction, worker safety, energy, oil & gas, transportation, water purification and medical markets.
The Manufacturing Operator, aligned to the Fabrication area, is responsible for performing manufacturing processes in any combination of required tasks associated with the safe and efficient operation of the production line as it relates to producing water elements (membrane). S/he will be involved in multiple different phases of the production and will perform tasks as specified in written procedures to support the full production process; manufacturing/rolling, finishing, testing/packaging, and handling of materials. Manufacturing Operators are self-starters who can identify, prioritize, and simultaneously accomplish multiple tasks using time management. S/he must have strong attention to detail, and strong communication to demonstrate leadership – inspire others and lead them through influence. Operators must also be able to able to work within an empowered team environment, and in addition to the primary tasks, the operator will need to fix or adjust the machines with hand tools as needed.


As a Manufacturing Operator, you will:

  • Maintain a safe working environment and participate in all required safety programs, trainings, and activities

  • Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas

  • Operate and field check process equipment by monitoring process conditions, equipment, and control systems if necessary

  • Reads production schedule to determine set up product to be produced during the current days production run

  • Responsible for working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to elements such as; odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemicals and other elements

  • Responsible for adhering to strict safety and environmental guidelines to include wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves (nitrile), face shield, safety glasses, shield, ear plugs, safety shoes, Tyvek sleeve, plastic apron, and respirator for the working shift

  • While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to stand; stand and/or walk for up to 8 or 12 hours per day, walk (up and down stairs); twist; bend; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb for extended periods of time; and will require the ability to lift maneuver and carry up to 45 lbs, pull with up to 82 lbs force and push with up to 50 lbs force.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required)

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English is required

  • Able to read and navigate Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) panels

  • A valid state driver’s license is required

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States; No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in warehouse/logistics/ manufacturing or production is preferred

  • A minimum of 3 year’s chemical or industrial manufacturing experience or 4+ years military experience is preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and can learn new systems quickly is preferred

  • Fork Lift; power materials handling equipment operation experience/certification is preferred

This position operates on 2nd, 3rd & 5th shifts; schedules vary, and some include overnights

This role is located in Edina, MN and may require less than 5% of travel
