The Revenue Manager is responsible for overseeing a variety of functions, such as leading individuals in both the San Antonio, TX and LaPalma, CA that track, report, and invoice volumes moved throughout Marathon Pipeline’s (MPL) logistic assets. The Manager is expected to ensure that personnel, procedures, controls and systems are in place and operate in a timely and effective manner for MPL. This position requires close collaboration with multiple departments, such as MPLX Accounting, MPL Scheduling, MPL Business Operations & Planning, MPLX Business Planning & Analysis, MPLX Business Development and various teams within Marathon Pipeline.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversees the effectiveness of systems and tools to efficiently develop volume and revenue data, statements, and invoices in accordance with the Interstate Commerce Act, SOX controls, FERC regulations, and various pipeline rules and regulations.
• Ensures the accuracy and efficiency of ticketing and application of tariffs for all crude oil or products shipped.
• Ensures consistent, accurate execution of revenue recognition process for MPL contracts including TSAs, terminal fees, and other special agreements.
• Ensures the timely and accurate completion of MPLX business plan forecasts including the monthly S&D forecasts. Acts as an engaged stakeholder in the MPL business planning process and assists in developing reports and variance explanations to support financial analysis.
• Develops customer relationships with all shippers (MPC and other third parties), as well as field operations and MPL’s Technical Services department that supports POLARIS and SCADA.
• Coordinates with internal and external auditing organizations to review work processes against standards to ensure effective compliance measures are in place and consistently executed.
• Works with Business Development and other stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and pursue contractual and accounting elements of potential new business opportunities.
• Develops a strong understanding of MPLX’s various revenue-generating contracts.
• Provides development and oversight of the professional workforce that implements the work processes above. This includes performance development, succession planning and training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, engineering or related discipline required.
• Five (5) years of accounting, scheduling, or commercial experience required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:

• Up to 25%
