As a Market Research Manager – Boston, you will help grow the differentiated VTS research function, build and maintain a competitive advantage in the marketplace through deep local market expertise, analysis, and insight.
To thrive in this role you must successfully contribute to the market research function and outputs for the local commercial real estate market. You will work closely with the local Market Research lead and internal and external research colleagues on a daily basis. In addition, this role will also work in close collaboration with our Product and Sales teams to ensure alignment on core growth strategies.

Here's what you can expect as a Market Research Manager – Boston:
- Ownership- you will leverage your 3+ years of experience of market research experience in the Boston Office market. You will have full oversight of the data collection and verification processes and outputs for Boston CRE information. You will be responsible for managing robust and accurate local market datasets from both internal and external sources; filling gaps and enriching existing data where needed. You will oversee multiple projects or assigned tasks, determine priorities and develop a through-line to completion, including harnessing the right resources and collaborating along the way
- Product Innovation- Full oversight of Boston research product customization. Create cutting-edge deliverables based on client and internal stakeholder inputs. Contribute to client presentations by working with Product and Sales teams to assemble, analyze, interpret and disseminate market intelligence with a focus on local CRE office market fundamentals
- CRE Expertise- Maintain intimate and extensive knowledge of the transactional, demand, and inventory/development data affecting the Boston commercial real estate marketplace. You will also leverage and expand upon your well-developed personal network of local CRE professionals including property owners, brokers, and researchers
- Communication- Must be responsive to multiple internal and external constituencies—sales professionals, management, local media, real estate associations, and clients. Experience in high-stakes client settings and/or relevant public speaking required. You will leverage your Team Player mindset to work across cross-functional groups within our Research, Product, Marketing, PR, Operations and Leadership teams to achieve company goals and create exceptional results
- Analysis- Provide analytical and execution support for global, domestic, and regional research initiatives as needed. You will leverage your strong quantitative skill set to identify new insights and trends through new and previously unavailable data and industry metrics. You will also identify client and stakeholder needs and convey those needs into dynamic collateral materials

Workplace Designations
At VTS, we believe that the definition of "workplace" has dramatically evolved, and value flexibility as a necessary part of employee happiness & productivity. We believe that by embracing new ways of working - VTS is able to attract and retain the best talent!
We aim to provide the greatest level of flexibility we can for each of our team members, based upon their individual roles at VTS. We currently offer three types of work designations at the company level.
- @office - This option means that the role requires you to come to the office at least 3 days a week.
- @flex - This option means that the role requires you to come into the office 2 days or less a week.
- @home - This option means that an employee will work primarily from their own home, but will have access to our office hubs whenever they would like.
There are some roles that require employees to be in the office at greater frequency - not all designations are available for every role. We are committed to transparency and each role is promoted with all designations available to that role.
For roles that require employees to spend time in person at one of VTS' offices in the US or Canada, VTS requires all employees to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment unless a documented medical or religious reasonable accommodation is requested and approved.
