Marketing Analyst

Job Requirements

Sweetwater, the number 1 online retailer of music instruments and pro audio gear, is seeking a detail-oriented Marketing Analyst to join our dynamic marketing team. As a Marketing Analyst, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing marketing operations, analyzing data, tracking KPIs, maintaining data feeds and platforms, coordinating technical projects, and providing actionable insights to drive marketing strategies and campaigns. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage your analytical skills to enhance efficiency and scalability in marketing operations.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside marketing channel leaders to pull and analyze data from various platforms to track and report on key marketing metrics and KPIs.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to visualize marketing performance and communicate insights to stakeholders. (Creating charts, graphs etc.)
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in the data to optimize marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Maintain and update data feeds, business logic and integrations, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data governance policies and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between the marketing team and engineering/data teams to drive technical projects related to marketing operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and coordinate necessary actions to ensure projects are successfully completed.
  • Continuously assess and improve marketing operations processes, workflows, and tools to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for marketing operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing operations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing operations, data analysis, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced), Google Analytics
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent project management and coordination skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with DOMO, Looker Studio, or related tools a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL or other programming languages is a plus.
  • Desire and ability to learn new applications.
  • Experience in eCommerce Retail and the music industry is a big plus
