The Headlines:

In the role of Event and Marketing Coordinator working in Denver, Colorado you will be part of the Blue Moon Brewing Company. You will work closely with the General Manager to organize a creative calendar of events that will attract a diverse mix of locals and tourists to Blue Moon Brewing Company. The Event and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for driving customer volume and assumes overall responsibility for customer awareness, scheduling, planning and execution of events at the brewery, including all functions held in the special events room and VIP tours. You must be organized, resourceful and possess excellent resource management skills to support and troubleshoot the team's daily operations. You must demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills to maintain a good rapport with community channels as well as the greater MCBC organization, supporting efficient service delivery and strategic partnerships. Availability to work occasionally over evenings, weekends, and public holidays to support events is expected.

The Responsibilities:

  • Manage events with responsibilities of 13,000 sq ft; four different event spaces.
  • Responsible for event revenue budgets of over $200,000 a year.
  • Develop bid proposals.
  • Generate a roster of music, competitions, activities, features, etc. that will attract a diverse audience
  • Coordinate use of special event space and VIP tours
  • Help develop and maintain a one-of-a-kind brewery experience for key customers
  • Execute event planning logistics and resources prior and during the events to ensure events are executed on time on budget for maximum ROI
  • Continuously research, develop, and execute innovative experiences and entertainment elements.
  • Develop and maintain special event calendar
  • Create SOP’s for all events to include layouts and staff training.
  • Deliver both internal and external communications strategy for events
  • Research and track relevant partner events and opportunities that speak to the essence of the Blue Moon Brand
  • Build and Maintain relationships with current clientelle and annual events organizers
  • Maximize revenue by upselling and managing clients' budgets effectively.
  • Manage all aspects of these events and act as onsite manager to ensure meetings are delivered effectively and professionally.
  • Partner when necessary with Department heads and Manage weekly BEO meetings to discuss the upcoming events, culinary menu and actively engage in planning and development of new SOP for event business to ensure the proper execution.
  • Maintain standards for business processes between GM and staff to ensure quality of booking criteria and contract integrity.
  • Ensure events align to Blue Moon Brand
  • Find the most efficient and cost-effective means for attracting customers and promoting events
  • Define marketing channels that will drive customer traffic
  • Identify promotional trends that will attract more customers during off-peak season
  • Align BMBC with up-and-coming bands, guest chefs, and local artists
  • Ensure AAR conducted to ensure that event delivers excepted customer traffic and revenue
  • Create, update, and manage Tripleseat databases, event inquiries, and catering forms.
  • Leverage TOCK to increase special event sales, tours, and limited beer releases
  • Conduct ROI analysis to ensure effective events, staffing resources to achieve business and sales objectives.
  • Provide client recaps with post ROI analysis, event recap, RFID data capture metrics, and attendance reports.
  • Develop strategies for aligning BMBC with respected voices in the local community that can help promote BMBC
  • Work with local organizations such as the Denver Chamber to help deliver awareness about the new BMBC
  • Use the new BMBC facility as a marketing platform for national multi-media coverage.
  • Assist in utilizing the department Facebook page and mobile website and social media.
  • Work with MillerCoors to identify social and digital media opportunities at the new brewery.

The Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working in event planning, promotions and marketing
  • Degree in marketing preferred
  • Familiarity with the Denver Food and Beverage scene
  • Previous experience working in high volume restaurant or brewery

Job Posting Grade: 8
Job Posting Hourly Rate: $42,200- $68,600
