Computershare has an exciting opportunity for Marketing Content Writer to join our team.

This is a great opportunity to advance your career with an industry leader in mortgage servicing solutions for the financial services and investment banking industries.

The Marketing Content Writer will partner with various internal subject matter experts to build and execute content plans and determine how each deliverable will improve our business. They will independently define the role of content in the sales funnel and own the execution from inception to final publication across marketing channels. They will collaborate with CLS’ Marketing team to create great campaigns and drive business growth to advance CLS’ various lines of business:

Originations Fulfillment:

CLS performs all aspects of the origination process including processing, underwriting, and closing for a variety of financial institutions.

Co-issue MSR Acquisition:

CLS is a top MSR buyer that purchases mortgage servicing rights (MSRs) through their co-issue platform. CLS helps Fannie Mae- and Freddie Mac-approved sellers improve cash flow through the sale of their MSRs.

Loan Servicing:

CLS is a top mortgage loan sub-servicer for both prime and default portfolios. CLS receives exemplary servicer ratings from Fitch Ratings, S&P, and Moody's, and receive Freddie Mac's Servicer Honors and Rewards Program (SHARP)SM and Fannie Mae's STAR™ Performer Award each year.

Mortgage Cooperative:

CLS’ mortgage cooperative connects members (financial institutions, credit unions, and independent mortgage lenders) with preferred partners so members can better compete, succeed, and grow in the highly competitive mortgage banking industry.

A role you will love

The Marketing Content Writer develops content, including copywriting for all formats and mediums, for use in marketing for all market segments and CLS US lines of business. They will be responsible for developing copy for webpages, thought leadership articles, whitepapers, interviews, blog posts, social media posts, infographics, video storyboards, digital advertising, etc. to be leveraged across market segments, sales efforts, and campaigns. The Marketing Content Writer will leverage the CLS brand voice, tone, and style but adapt to different campaign writing styles with fluency and flair. They must have a knack for being persuasive with words and enjoy creating eye-catching, memorable content that pushes the envelope.

The Marketing Content Writer is also responsible for contributing to other areas of the business including supporting events at a segment and business level to help the organization realize its business objectives.

What we need from you

Additionally, the Campaign Manager will:

Conduct in-depth research and discovery about our industry, customers, and solutions to produce technically accurate content that can increase success metrics

Use audience insights, messaging themes, campaign plans, competitive information, and content performance analytics to build a content editorial calendar and create content that will perform to expectations and support our content marketing strategies; Inform the team on how to improve content strategies; present tactical plans, ideas, and expected performance to internal audiences

Create a steady stream of asset types that can be leveraged across various channels and use cases; For digital content, provide title tags, meta descriptions, hyperlinks to related pages and sources

Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, operations, client services, etc.) as needed to support content ideation, copy creation, activation, and measurement; work with designers and developers to execute new design and development ideas

Collaborate with peers to integrate and repurpose content marketing and campaign content where appropriate

Create custom content to influence and attract new business or retain existing clients

Identify content inconsistencies in brand voice and tone to improve our materials; publish edited content within a Web Content Management System

Write original case studies about Computershare Loan Services’ clients as required to promote CLS’ successes; Engage with sales to coordinate and conduct client interviews

Regularly recommend content ideas for yourself and others, such as infographics, videos and topics for new webpages, news articles and social media posts to drive business and marketing objectives

Assist in producing events strategies to drive business and marketing objectives through trade conferences and exhibitions, client conferences, networking events, webinars, and hospitality

Functional knowledge

The Marketing Content Writer must have professional writing skills and the ability to creatively ideate, develop, and promote new content. They must demonstrate success as an individual contributor, capable of working independently and managing multiple projects at once with a strong ability to prioritize. The Marketing Content Writer will be highly organized with systematic, detail-driven approach to planning and will be adaptable, dynamic, and results-driven. They will have razor-like attention to detail, disciplined organization, and must be able to self-edit and apply editorial feedback.

Business Experience

The Marketing Content Writer must have strong research, writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as project management experience and excellent time management skills.

The Marketing Content Writer must have marketing experience across roles involving content creation. They must be gifted at telling a compelling story, enjoy learning and writing about various aspects of the business and have experience operating as a part of a marketing team.

The Marketing Content Writer must have experience in attracting, engaging, and converting a target audience. They must possess inbound marketing acumen and be hands-on, collaborative, and flexible, with the ability to oversee and execute multiple projects simultaneously while meeting competing deadlines. The role is best suited for a high-achiever with proven ability to contribute individually (through hands-on execution) as well as part of a results-focused team. The Marketing Content Writer must be capable of working independently under minimal supervision.

Leadership Skills

The Marketing Content Writer role will have no management responsibility but will own processes and projects as part of the CLS US Marketing Team that supports Computershare’s US Loan Services business.

Problem Solving

The Marketing Content Writer role requires the ability to drive projects forward and uncover required information to accomplish tasks within given deadlines. The Marketing Content Writer must do the necessary research to uncover the details needed to complete each task and must be a self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment and be comfortable starting projects with a certain level of ambiguity. They must overcome obstacles and see plans through from start to finish.

Impact

The Marketing Content Writer role will have a direct impact on the reputation of the CLS organization. CLS US is positioned as a trusted adviser in the US mortgage market and the quality and nature of the content that the Marketing Content Writer produces must further solidify our position in the market. The quality of content created will reflect on the effectiveness of the role holder, team, and entire CLS US organization.

Interpersonal Skills

The Marketing Content Writer must be able to forge strong relationships with stakeholders across various business functions and will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This role requires excellent presentation skills and the ability to maintain good working relationships with all internal teams. They must be adept at taking direction and applying it with accuracy and innovation.

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • At least five (5) years of experience in marketing, communication and/or content management
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams to craft compelling content
  • Ability to be agile and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Professional and adept, with the ability to embrace technology and automation

Preferred:

  • A strong understanding and knowledge of the mortgage industry
  • Experience creating SOPs, guides, and other instructional documentation
  • Intermediate understanding of HTML and styles
  • An eye for visual composition
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Expert-level PowerPoint skills would be icing on the cake!

Compensation. The base pay range for this role can range from $78,000-$92.000. This base pay range will be determined by experience.
