We have a unique opportunity for an individual to contribute their talents and strengths as a People Business Partner within our Corporate Trust business unit.
Corporate Trust is one of our largest and most diverse business unit and this will be a challenging, but hugely rewarding global role. For that reason, we are seeking a high performing, commercially focused and strategically minded People Partner to partner with leaders across the US and India.
The Business Partnering Team

The Business Partnering team drives an excellent employee experience and provides a key point of contact for Business Unit Heads for strategic support to shape their People agenda globally. The team requires dedicated, driven, and talented individuals to live, breathe and embody the People team’s vision in executing their strategic role.
What does the role involve?
The People Business Partner will be an integral part of the senior leadership team for our Global CEOs as they transform their business. A key member of the Corporate Trust leadership team, the Business Partner will provide a strong contribution to the overall business strategy and lead from a people perspective.
This is a great opportunity for a strategic minded candidate to lead an exciting People agenda, breaking new ground daily and driving the standards for attracting, managing, rewarding and supporting Computershare’s people.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as trusted advisor to the CEO of Corporate Trust and their leadership team, providing coaching and guidance on a range of sensitive people/commercial issues, including development of key leaders identified in the succession plan
- Lead the design of the people strategy needed to support the strategic aims of the business line aligned to the global Computershare people strategy
- Share the business strategy and priorities with the People team Centers of Excellence to enable effective planning and delivery to business units.
- Key conduit between the business unit and the wider People team, ensuring key people projects are supported, represented, and delivered.
- Be part of or lead programs of work to support the delivery of people initiatives, utilizing project management knowledge
- Proactively drive improvements to business performance by providing expertise on organizational design and change
- Leverage workforce insights and analytics to focus the business’s leaders on relevant People issues while assessing potential strategies and solutions that promote talent, development and succession plans
- Oversee and create solutions to mitigate people risks
- Champion Computershare’s culture, values and ways of working, employees and locations, promoting an inclusive workplace
- Actively engage in the Business Partner development programs with a continuous learning mindset to upskill on the latest thinking.
What will you bring to the role?
To be successful in this role you must have a desire to drive forward global initiatives and be passionate about making an impact on driving development and people practices through strategic decision making. As mentioned above, this role will support one of our most diverse business unit, which at times will be challenging and we would expect you to have exceptional leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
In addition, you will have:
- Experience as a Business Partner for a sizeable commercial organization, ideally with a Global remit.
- Demonstrable experience in partnering and coaching leaders in all facets of People management as well as developing and coaching them to reach their potential
- Successfully established and developed strong, trust based, relationships at very senior levels, through strong presence, gravitas, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Ability to work within remote teams and collaboratively within a matrix environment and to account manage service delivery into a business unit
- Ability to work effectively at both strategic and the operational level
- Strong persuasive and influencing skills, especially with senior management. Ability to support and influence leaders through change will be key success.
- Significant experience in organizational design principles and delivery of large-scale people change program. Post-acquisition/merger integration experience would be an advantage.
- Strong ethics and values, identifies with and strongly aligns to Computershare culture
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and concisely
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to work alongside global leaders and commitment to meetings which may be scheduled outside of normal business hours.
Education and Experience
- Experience working at a business unit level leadership role for a sizeable commercial organization
- Multi-site/legal jurisdictional experience is preferred due to our highly distributed workforce
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level qualification or significant work experience.
