Current’s influencer marketing platform and technology gives brands the ability to quickly scale up, manage, and optimize their influencer campaigns to keep pace with a rapidly evolving digital and cultural landscape. Global brands—including Spotify, Oura Ring, and Olive and June—already leverage Current Tech to drive accelerated traffic and conversion for their products online. Current was recently acquired by Pattern and went from being a start up of 15 employees to being backed by Pattern, a 2 billion dollar company. Current Tech is seeking a passionate, hungry, and self-motivated marketing executive to launch and grow its influencer marketing technology, grow pipeline, and hit the 2023 sales numbers. You will be responsible for leading the marketing vision, strategy, and execution. We are looking for a marketing leader that has grown up from the digital marketing function focused on pipeline creation and closed deals from marketing activities. We are also looking for a leader who knows how to build out a holistic marketing strategy using digital, content, events, and other key marketing functions.

What is a day in the life of a Director of Marketing?
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, marketing leads, sales accepted pipeline, closed deals, and customer success.
  • Own and optimize a marketing budget to hit monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Lead the SaaS marketing strategy in attaining 2023 revenue targets across inbound marketing, account-based marketing, various paid digital, organic search, product marketing, and events.
  • Localize the “guts” of the Current value proposition including elevator pitches, personas, content hierarchies, etc.
  • Implement a data-driven approach to analyzing, automating, and optimizing a target list of strategic accounts that predictably drives high conversions and pipeline

  • Develop a vision and strategic marketing plan to accelerate Amplifi revenue in region via target brands, partnerships and key routes to market
  • Work closely with partners and the global sales teams to understand client needs and create go-to-market strategies, communication and collateral that reflects Amplifi’s key differentiators
  • Drive demand generation and account-based marketing efforts via digital advertising, webinars, social media, content marketing, and paid search advertising
  • Utilize strong business analytics and data to optimize performance and uncover new areas of growth for the organization
What will I need to thrive in this role?
  • The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in leading world-class marketing and sales strategy, demand generation and business development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related program
  • Proven success leading the brand messaging & positioning of SaaS company
  • Demonstrated track record delivering results against sales and marketing plans
  • Ability to quickly assess and understand customer buyer journeys to improve results, and synthesize into meaningful, quantifiable, differentiated messaging
  • Ability to understand complex processes and technologies, and translate into simple concepts (written, graphical, and verbal)
  • Solid knowledge of analytics tools, and ability to understand customer requirements
  • Expertise in analyzing new markets, business opportunities, competitive threats and monetization models
What are the 30/60/90 day expectations?
  • 30 days: Get to know three things; Pattern culture/brand, the Current SaaS offering/value props and target audience (ideal customer profile). Come to understand the Pattern core business model and how Current fits into the strategy. Understand the channels that are driving pipeline success and start to formulate the strategies and channels to achieve pipeline and closed deals goals.
  • 60 days: Start executing on your strategy measuring KPIs along the top, mid, and bottom marketing funnel. Begin to build, launch, test, and optimize marketing campaigns that create sales qualified pipeline and closed deals. Work closely Current executive team to align on 2023 OKRs, goals, and missions.
  • 90 days: Charge forward! Build strong relationships with sales, BDRs, customer success, and engineering that help you build a holistic approach to accelerate new business, customer retention, and upsell expansion. Start to build a strong reporting process to give visibility into marketing success and KPI growth for key Current stakeholders. Hit your quarter pipeline and new business goals.
What is the team like?
  • The Director of Marketing for Current Tech will report to Burke Alder, VP of Global Marketing at Pattern and work daily with division president and Current Tech Founder, Trygve Jensen. This team is fast paced, data-driven and results-oriented. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team and work across departments with other senior level colleagues to implement actionable solutions.
