Position Summary

 

Communicate standards of excellence in the daily work assignments of assigned Team in order to meet safe production as outlined by Management. Standards should be communicated through stated goals, daily interaction, Team meetings, provide input on employee performance evaluations, and recommend disciplinary actions.

 

Requirements

  • Perform standard office duties, plant duties and operate mobile equipment
  • Establish and maintain effective communications within all areas of the operation
  • Must make regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues in all areas of the operation
  • Implement and apply all safety rules, regulations and procedures of mine and property as set forth by federal, state, local agencies & policies
  • Work closely with the Sr. Team Coordinator and Production Supervisor to insure implementation of scheduled maintenance on all equipment
  • Perform annual performance evaluations on team members
  • Participate on plant safety committee
  • Assist Plant Manager, Production Supervisor, and Sr. Team Coordinator in developing mining plans, profit plans, AFE'S, and monthly forecast
  • Demonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level toward teammates, peers, and customers
  • Complete daily production, safety and maintenance reports accurately
  • Responsible for maintaining quality of all products
  • Maintain housekeeping and appearance standards as established
  • Assist with equipment repairs and housekeeping as needed
  • Other duties as requested

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years+ experience preferably in aggregates industry
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Effective coordination and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Understand team based management
  • Self-starter with ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in the English language
  • Strong mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel long distance by car or other commercial means, overnight at times
  • Must be able to work irregular shifts and weekends as required

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner.  This job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots and hearing protection
  • Ability to operate hand levers, foot pedals and steering wheel
  • Must have hand-eye coordination and vision to safely operate mobile equipment
  • Must be able to climb stairs to a height of 100 ft. and work at this height
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to operate radio, CB radio, computer and other equipment as required
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, climb and reach around all areas of equipment
  • Lift up to 75 lbs
  • Must be able to walk across steep/rough terrain.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
