As a Senior Corporate Counsel for Privacy, you'll be at the forefront of providing essential privacy advice to shape innovative product features, ensure compliance with global privacy regulations, and play a key role in our global privacy program.
We are seeking a dynamic, independent and experienced attorney to provide expert privacy partnership and counsel to our brands, with a particular focus on Hinge, Match Media (our online advertising shared services function) and performance marketing teams. This hybrid role, based in New York, requires two days in the office per week and reports directly to the Chief Privacy Officer for Match Group.

How you'll make an impact:- You will develop a deep understanding of our brands’ technology (with a focus on Hinge) and provide practical, innovative privacy counsel advice for high-impact product launches, especially with respect to AI initiatives. Partner with Privacy, Legal, and business teams to find creative solutions to novel product challenges. Enable product teams to move quickly by proactively identifying and helping to resolve areas of potential privacy risk, while working with other privacy team members to ensure necessary documentation around Privacy-by-Design reviews and DPIAs/PIAs.
- You will provide privacy counsel advice to Match Media, our online advertising shared services function, and to our brands with respect to the application of privacy laws to the ad tech space (e.g., performance marketing/user acquisition campaigns).
- You will assist with the implementation and management of Match Group’s global privacy program, including support for external regulatory inquiries, customer care escalations, policy development, incident response, contract negotiation (e.g., DPAs), privacy training, and implementation of new privacy laws across our portfolio of brands.
We could be a match if:- You have a law degree from a top accredited law school and eligibility to practice law in New York.
- You have 5+ years of experience in a top national law firm and in-house legal department, with substantial experience in technology product counseling in B2C digital industries (e.g., gaming, music, mobile, video, online marketplaces, social media). Experience with AI model development and deployment is a plus.
- You have excellent business communication and analytical skills, impeccable attention to detail, and strong sense of ownership and accountability. Keen understanding of and experience with global privacy laws.
- You are independent and curious self-starter, capable of making decisions and providing advice in a fast-paced, changing environment. Positive attitude and ease in working collaboratively with both legal and non-legal team members.
- You have a strong desire to learn the business, associated technologies, and new areas of law, with a practical approach to partnering with business teams.

$210,000 - $230,000 a year
Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in NY. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
