Senior Director, Intellectual Property Counsel

Maze Therapeutics is looking for a Senior Director, Intellectual Property Counsel to lead the IP function, providing strategic advice and managing everyday IP matters.

Skills

J.D. from an accredited law school
Minimum 8 years of experience as patent counsel
Strong client-service attitude
Excellent judgment
Strong negotiation and organizational skills

Responsibilities

Lead the intellectual property legal function
Develop and maintain Maze’s IP strategy
Direct and manage patent, trademark, and copyright applications
Evaluate freedom-to-operate, infringement, and validity
Support business activities including research and clinical development

Education

Admitted to practice in CA
Admitted before the USPTO
Advanced degree in a biochemical science
