The successful candidate will be responsible for strategy development and execution of programs that achieve strategic objectives for the SH&A Operations organization. This is a key role requiring multi-disciplined skillsets across strategy deployment, finance, new product development, released product engineering and operational excellence. In particular the individual will lead the deployment of the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) and value stream strategies across the SH&A operations organization. It will be based at an SH&A operations location (Minneapolis, Galway or Danvers) and will report directly to the Vice President of SH&A Operations.Duties & Responsibilities• Provide functional excellence and chief of staff support for the Vice President of SH&A operations and the organization• Thorough understanding of the financial, operational and process components that are needed to drive the success of SH&A Operations in relation to the SH&A business strategy• Proactive analysis and management of strategic programs and initiatives, providing insight into performance and opportunities for improvement• Identify opportunities where data and analysis can provide transformational results• Deploy the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) across the SH&A Operations organization• Lead deployment of Strategy Excellence and the associated tier management system for driving daily execution and long term improvement initiatives.• Develop value stream strategies and operating mechanisms to execute them across the organization.• Lead initiatives to improve how New Product Development (NPD) processes are executed.• Develop clear value propositions and strategies to improve end-to-end operational excellence• Program management of critical cross functional strategies and Annual Deployment Plans (ADP’s)• Support the SH&A VP of Ops in the development and execution of strategic plans• Define and implement standard work as needed across the organization.Qualifications, Experience & Strengths• Bachelors and/or Master’s degree (Engineering, Business, Finance, etc.). MBA is desirable• Possess between 5 and 10 years of relative experience• Highly structured, organized and process-driven• Ability to manage upward and drive accountability without direct authority• High degree of analytical capability in identifying opportunities through data analysis• Working knowledge of Program and Project Management methodologies and tools.• Experience with deploying operational excellence principles or lean operating systems• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to effectively interact with senior executives• Ability to work independently and as part of team• Ability to effect change and execute proposalsPhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. PR) locations (USD):$ 165,000.00 - $ 247,000.00The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
