As a Sr Campus Recruiter you will develop hiring strategies that align with our Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) division. CAS offers cardiac mapping and ablation solutions to treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms. You will play a vital role in shaping Medtronic’s future by identifying and attracting top engineering talent across the U.S. You’ll serve as an ambassador for Medtronic on campuses, building strong relationships with students, faculty, and career centers. In this role, you’ll lead initiatives to hire high-performing interns and help convert them into full-time hires.

As part of the Emerging Talent & Careers team, you’ll collaborate with recruiters from IT, Finance, and other functions to create a seamless and engaging candidate experience. You will also partner closely with internal business leaders and Talent Acquisition teams to build and align recruiting strategies with the needs of CAS.

A Day in the Life

  • Strategic Partner: Build strategy for new campus recruiting program.  Understand the business needs and design best in class strategies to fulfill hiring needs
  • Campus Recruitment Leadership: Lead the strategy and execution of campus recruitment efforts for the U.S. CAS-Engineering Recruiting. Act as a subject matter expert and brand ambassador, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging to candidates.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including hiring managers, campus teams, student organizations, career centers, and inclusion leaders. Actively engage school alumni and Medtronic leaders to support campus recruitment efforts.
  • Full Cycle Recruiting: Partner with hiring managers to develop job specifications, key competencies, and salary recommendations. Source candidates through various platforms (social media, career fairs, recruiting technology) to ensure a strong talent pipeline.
  • Candidate Experience: Create a positive candidate experience by guiding applicants through the hiring process, including assessments, background checks, and onboarding.
  • Internship Program Oversight: Build, plan and execute the Summer Intern Program, providing interns with valuable experiences that showcase Medtronic’s culture, while assessing their potential for full-time conversion.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (e.g., acceptance ratios, intern conversions) and regularly analyze campus recruitment effectiveness. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Process Excellence: Manage recruitment operations with a focus on delivering timely, accurate communications, maintaining compliance, and minimizing risk.
  • Program Improvement: Benchmark Medtronic’s programs against internal and external best practices to drive innovation and efficiency in campus recruitment.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition to include on-campus engineering recruiting experience or an advanced degree with 2+ years’ experience
  • Ability to support frequent campus travel and occasional after-hours events

Nice to Haves

  • Proximity to a Medtronic office (Minneapolis, Boston, Irvine, & Denver)
  • Previous MedTech & Engineering recruiting experience  
  • Demonstrated passion for emerging talent and student focus events
  • Experience building a campus recruiting program from the ground up
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate and professional, able to represent Medtronic confidently on campus
  • High sense of urgency and ability to provide top-notch service while maintaining confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent judgment, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Results-driven, able to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • High attention to detail, organized, and process-oriented
  • Flexible and resourceful, able to navigate last-minute changes and challenges
  • Knowledge of OFCCP compliance and legal considerations in recruiting
  • Experience with recruiting tools such as Workday, Paradox, and Handshake

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$86,400.00 - $129,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
