The Specialist will provide an exceptional in-person customer experience, ensure that customers receive the highest level of customer service at all times and leave our retail store with the best solution for their needs. This experience could include explaining products and services to customers, selling products, assisting customers with billing and service questions, processing customer payments and troubleshooting issues for customers. Position requires flexible schedule availability including some evenings.


Description:

  • Possess strong presentation skills that support effective communication of large quantity of complex material.
  • Use your outstanding customer interaction skills to create the ultimate retail sales experience utilizing a strong understanding of Independence products and services. Leverage this knowledge and expertise to analyze customer needs and present value-added solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Affordable Care Act and CMS compliance requirements to assure that all activities are compliant.
  • Support daily business operations, including processing customer transactions and auditing receipts daily.
  • Inspire and excite customers about our products and key features; provide customers with a basic understanding of products
  • Actively participate in annual sales growth strategy plan and meet sales goals during open enrollment period
  • Attend both formal and informal training to better understand retail store operations and keep up with company, market, and industry trends
  • Build customer loyalty and grow existing customer base and deliver superior customer service.
  • Support and maintain compliance of retail store operations and customer requests, proactively auditing processes, and operations for quality assurance, continuously identifying operational gaps and suggestions solutions that reflect the company’s overall strategy to customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must maintain active sales license, State Based Exchange certification and Medicare certification (required within 60 days of employment).
  • BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline preferred.
  • Four plus years of progressively more responsible operations experience preferably with HealthCare Reform, Medicare, or Medicaid.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications skills (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated history of supporting a quality customer experience
  • Exceptional relationship building skills and customer-focused
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of HealthCare Reform and healthcare products/benefits
  • Federal Facilitated Marketplace experience and certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of state laws/regulations as demonstrated by passing the Pennsylvania sales license exams. Must obtain license within 60 days of employment
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Goal-oriented and motivated to learn
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales results preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite ®: Excel; Word; Outlook; I-Way.
  • Mastery of My INSIQ; Telephone Systems’. Avaya, CTI; OSCAR; RxClaims, Highmark Individual Billing System (HIBS/PSAR); ECS; One Time Direct Pay; E-BILL/ Portal; ICIS; CIS; CSD, PSAR (PeopleSoft Account Receivable).
