International Payroll Manager

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire payroll process for employees in international countries and ensuring timely and accurate processing for all payroll related transactions for the covered regions. Currently Lacework payroll operations covers payroll processing for 14 countries in EMEA Region, 2 in Americas and 1 APAC. Process payroll reports and conduct routine audits. Partner with internal and external partners to ensure on time delivery of payroll information. Ensure established processes are completed and internal controls are followed. Make sure employees and partner inquiries are satisfied. This position will report to the Global Payroll Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily payroll department operations for employees in international courtiers, including collecting, documenting employee data, reviewing it, and working through any outstanding issues with internal and external partners to make sure it is all ready for payroll processing
  • Perform reconciliation and audit of payroll files (personnel data, benefits, wages, taxes, etc.) on a cycle, quarter, and end of the year basis
  • Manage workflow to ensure incoming and outgoing payroll data is processed timely and accurately
  • Partner with the internal departments to ensure all relevant data is collected on time for payroll processing
  • Process all relevant for the period changes, update payroll worksheets, and prepare processes for Global Payroll Director review. Track approval status and communicate it to payroll vendors to ensure on-time closing of payroll cycle. Make sure all closing tasks are completed
  • Work with International payroll vendors to ensure post processing tasks are completed and collect all relevant reports
  • Help manage vendor relationship with international payroll service provider
  • Work with Accounting Team to ensure success and timely posting of payroll journal entries into accounting system
  • Understand wages & tax, proration calculation, holiday, benefits, and other processing basics for payrolls in international countries.
  • Assist with payroll reports preparation
  • Respond to employees and internal & external teams when there are payroll inquiries, including and not limited to leave, pension deductions, payment details, vacation accruals, tax withholdings, etc.
  • Partner with HR and other internal departments on system projects related to Payroll
  • Provide support to US payroll operations on as needed basis
  • Participate in process improvement and system implementation projects
  • Perform other duties and assignments upon request

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business-related concentration
  • 5+ years of processing experience with the focus in international payroll
  • Experience working with payroll processing providers and PEO vendors,
  • CPP/FPC and/or International country payroll certifications preferred (APA, GPA or other international county certifications)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical approach
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing workloads
  • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills
  • Able to respond to payroll inquiries with professionalism, kindness, and empathy
  • Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Easy and eager system learner
  • Have a strong desire to learn and thrive in a dynamic and changing environment, experienced working across the company with the teams of varied sizes and from different fields

Comp: Salary Range: $99,000 - $122,000 USD Annually + Bonus + Equity + Benefits (including health, dental, wellness reimbursement, BetterUp coaching/learning programs, and more)
