Purpose and Scope

OVERVIEW

Memphis-Shelby County Schools is seeking dynamic educational champions ready to position our district as a national exemplar of education transformation. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

 

Provides and supervises instructional and behavioral activities for students referred by the school principal or assistant principal for in-school suspension. The position is responsible for ensuring assigned class work is completed, serving as an adviser to students in resolving problems as needed, maintaining classroom order, and performing related duties as assigned.  

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.

 

Degree Equivalency Formula:

 

Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.

Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
