This position requires a detail-oriented strategic thinker with exceptional project management skills, the ability to build strong client relationships, and a knack for producing high-quality content under tight deadlines.Be Accountable and Responsible• Communications Planning and Execution:• Contribute to the creation of communications plans and materials that meet client objectives.• Produce high-quality internal and external communications strategies and content under tight timelines and competing priorities.• Project Management:• Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, anticipating challenges and ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.• Coordinate client touchpoints, set agendas, and provide action-oriented recaps.• Client and Colleague Relationship Building:• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.• Media Relations:• Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both traditional and social media outreach plans.• Own media monitoring needs to identify and draft flags of relevant news.• Continuous Learning and Leadership Development:• Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals.• Mentor and/or supervise junior staff by coaching, and providing consistent feedback.• Industry Insight and Knowledge:• Possess a solid understanding of the current consumer brand, health, and wellness landscape, and topical issues.• Business Development Support:• Aid in new business processes including idea contribution, research, and proposal preparation.• Outreach Program Coordination:• Help plan and coordinate traditional, digital, and social media outreach programs.These are the qualifications we’re looking for• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field within an agency setting• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications in Communications, are strongly desired• Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills• Strong proficiency in media relations, including traditional and social media outreach• Familiarity with media monitoring tools and analytics platforms• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofing skills with attention to detail• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities effectively.• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues• Understanding of current industry trends in areas such as consumer brands, health, and wellness• Experience and interest in mentoring junior staff#LI-NT1#LI-HYBRIDAnd here’s how we live our values at MERGE• Ability.
