QA Automation Engineer

What you will do: 

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will contribute to award winning and scalable web applications for global brands. Reporting to the Director of Software Development, you will work with project managers, graphic designers, developers, other QA Engineers, and client teams to deliver the very best technical products and solutions. You will have the opportunity to create new processes and standards to help Metova reach new heights in code quality.

Functions and Responsibilities: 

• Lead the effort to implement a robust quality assurance process and actively create processes and standards
• Design and implement automated QA tests, code coverage, and quality reporting
• Exploratory testing in a rapid development environment
• Recommend frameworks and libraries and implement as needed to solve client issues
• Expected to independently attempt to solve problems
• Learn new technologies, frameworks, languages, as new projects require

Here are some technologies we use on a daily basis:

• Node Frameworks, Java, Javascript (Playwright), SQL and NoSQL Databases, Terminal Emulators, Atlassian products (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence), AWS managed services.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• 3+ years previous QA testing experience using a modern programming language (java, node, Python, JavaScript etc), including the creation of new test scripts and modification of existing test scripts
• Analytical and communication skills sufficient to extrapolate information from complex, written documents when information is missing or not clear
• Demonstrated skill in using initiative and acquired knowledge in testing efforts
• Ability to deal with the pressure of strict time constraints and potentially-changing priorities
• Oral and written communication skills sufficient to clearly report and document results of testing efforts
• Ability to act individually and as a team member in resolving problems and completing projects
• Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task
• Experience with QA automation tools
• Experience with HTTP/REST/JSON and other web technologies
• 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
• College Degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ Years of experience with Automated Testing Frameworks

Consider it as a plus:

• Knowledge of AWS/Azure/other cloud services
• Knowledge of UI/UX testing frameworks
• Experience with Figma
• Experience with Bash
• Experience with Jenkins CI/CD
• Experience with JavaScript, and understanding of Node Frameworks (Angular/React/NEXT/NUXT/Svelte/Sveltekit)
