Micron is hiring a PCB Designer to join our Central Engineering (CE) team!

The Central Engineering team at Micron drives innovation and excellence in semiconductor technology by delivering innovative solutions that power our global manufacturing operations. We are a collaborative and highly skilled group of engineers focused on advancing efficiency, scalability, and quality in all aspects of engineering. The Role

We are looking for a hardworking Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designer to be part of an industry leading team working on the detailed physical layout of complex PCBs. Cadence Allegro is the primary design tool used in the development of our state-of-the-art, high-speed PCB designs. This position is focused on providing PCB designs with the absolute best signal quality and power delivery, establishing design standards and configurations that meet the needs of Micron's cutting edge engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of PCB layout design from requirement definitions to layout completion

  • Apply extensive PCB design knowledge to solve complex problems

  • Serve as a technical authority opening the way to innovative PCB solutions

  • Evaluate existing designs and seeing opportunities for design improvements

  • Follow Design-for -Manufacturing and Best Practices guidelines

  • Utilize Cadence Allegro and Vsure design tools

  • Work effectively as part of a design team following plans and project steps

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in electrical or computer engineering and 3+ years semiconductor experience

  • 5+ years experience in PCB manufacturing process, high speed signal integrity design rules and power distribution

  • The ability to handle a fast paced workload and changing priorities

  • 5+ years experience with Cadence Allegro design tools

  • The desire to work well as part of a team, maintaining a positive "can-do" attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in electrical or computer engineering and 3+ years semiconductor experience

  • Problem solving and analytical skills

  • CID+ IPC certification

  • 3+ years experience with PCB layout design
