Job Title: Pharmaceutical Primary Market Research AnalystType: Contract - HybridLocation: Boston, MAHours: start times flexible, 32-40 hours/weeklyDegree: Bachelor's, Master's preferredExperience: 4-6 years of experience in execution of Pharmaceutical primary market research pertaining to specific specialty diseasesMISSION OF THE DEPARTMENTProvides marketing colleagues and Senior Leadership with a deep understanding, by use of data and analysis, of the specific disease area markets, competitive landscape and customer segments where we compete in order to capitalize on identified opportunities and minimize risks in pursuit of the organization’s business objectives and ultimate success.Manage and participate in the execution of pharmaceutical market research ( and secondary) to provide insights on business decision making. Provide a high level of customer service in support of assessing US market potential and build deliver forecasts for pipeline products and new business opportunities.PURPOSE OF ROLEThis position will support the design and execution of primary market research projects for the US Oncology team. They will manage individual projects as well as assist with document and project management for more complex projects that may be executed by the team lead. They may assist with coordination of other related activities such as reviewing final reports, condensing and simplifying insights, and coordinating market research planning activities.MAIN INTERFACESINTERNALLY:Market Insights Managers, Marketing, Cross Functional Launch and Brand Teams, US and Global Marketing, Global Business Intelligence, U.S. Legal, U.S. Drug Safety, Managed Markets, Finance, VP Business Excellence, Sales ManagementEXTERNALLY:Vendors selected for various research projects, third party data vendors and consultantsKEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIESManage the creation of market research materials with vendors and manage vendor activities· Draft RFPs for primary market research projects· Partner with internal business partners to ensure market research materials are aligned with internally available information and research objectives· Ensure research from vendors is executed in a timely and quality fashion· Follow internal SOPs related to primary market research, data analytics, and other insight related activities· Provide advanced administrative and project coordination support for some market research and competitive intelligence projects own by senior researchers· Work closely with other functions to ensure the department operates at the highest level of efficiencyProduce work that is well executed, accurate, and attentive to detail· Update Excel data template and PowerPoint pages that delivers to senior leadership· Respond to department member inquiries, requests and resolve issues quickly, competently and professionally.· Assist in the implementation of the market research plan (including launch, secondary data and primary market research plans) to support the needs of the marketing teams.· Develop an understanding of the available data sources for epidemiology, claims / prescription data, competitive information, and any other related data sources to support business decisions.· Conduct secondary market research and intelligence as required· Other responsibilities as requiredPERSONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES· College degree (Bachelor’s preferred)· 4-6 year’s professional experience (pharmaceutical, medical or corporate environment preferred)· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel· Experience working with vendors to design and execute primary market research· Proven organizational skills and the ability to balance several on-going projects simultaneously· Highly motivated and organized, with attention to prioritizing incoming tasks· Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and oral)· Collaborative work style and ability to work constructively within a team environment· Ability to work under pressure and with competing, changing and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a strong level of professionalism· Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication and written skills, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask effectively· Excellent listening and communication skills· Highly motivated and organized, with attention to prioritizing incoming tasks· Oncology experience a plusIf you are passionate about market research and eager to contribute to strategic decision-making processes, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!Millipore Sigma is an equal Employment Opportunity employer.
