This position will collect and analyze run crash data, investigate traffic safety complaints, assist with investigating tort claims, prepare data reports, and perform field checks.The Minnesota Department of Transportation does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.This position is located at Waters Edge in Roseville. The incumbent will have the flexibility to work in the office or a hybrid schedule. The incumbent will be required to report onsite at least once/month but may be required to work onsite more depending on business needs. If working a hybrid schedule, the incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor.Minimum QualificationsA bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, data analytics or a related field OR one (1) year of professional (MAPE 05L or higher) statistics or data analysis experience OR two (2) years of technical experience that demonstrates the following:• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software programs (Word, Excel, Access) sufficient to analyze data, develop reports, letters, and spreadsheets.• Experience collecting, researching, and analyzing data.• Knowledge of CADD, ArcGIS, and ArcView.Note: An Associate's degree in math, statistics, data science, or a related field substitutes for six (6) months of professional experience.Additional RequirementsIt is our policy that the successful candidate pass a background check prior to employment.
