Do you enjoy developing and implementing OT lab environments?Do you have an interest in managing vendor relationships, connecting IT and OT networks, and managing lab projects? MITRE’s Cyber Infrastructure Protection Innovation Center is a seeking cyber security engineer to develop our lab strategy and manage our lab environments.The candidate will have a desire to grow your expertise and explore your innovative ideas in the domain of cyber physical security, to include OT / Control Systems / IOT with an interest in threat-informed defense, cyber resiliency, cyber assessments, policy, and security operations.Working within MITRE’s operational labs, you’ll be empowered to keep pace with current and emerging technologies and practices, all while working on cutting edge, impactful solutions to solve some of cybersecurity’s toughest challenges through a variety of government projects and applied research.Our projects support the whole of the US government, and our private sector partners, to improve the state of Cyber Physical / OT cybersecurity globally.Job Responsibilities :• Strategizing the growth of CIPIC’s lab environment• Engaging with external labs and vendors to grow our lab capabilities• Managing network infrastructure within and between OT lab environments• Researching, developing, operationalizing, evaluating, and improving OT defensive tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for detecting and responding to cyber threats• Developing the architectures, processes, and identifying technologies to support OT (ICS / SCADA / Control Systems) security operations• Generating ideas for research to improve cybersecurity for critical infrastructureBasic Qualifications :A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Computer Science, Cyber, or related Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree;or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.• Experience in OT cybersecurity, system administration, or process control• Ability to work with others to solve challenging technical problems• Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.Must be able to obtain Top secret with SCI• Experience in managing projects within a lab environment• Ability to think critically, work in group settings, and be proactive in pursuing research and problem solving.• This position requires a minimum of % hybrid on-site.• Experience working with federal departments and agencies or their stakeholders, state / local / tribal / territorial governments and critical infrastructure organizations.• Experience working with control systems in a critical infrastructure environment (manufacturing, power plant, water / wastewater, or equivalent) with working knowledge of OT, ICS, SCADA, PLCs, DCS, IEDs, Industrial Firewalls, or DCS and related hardware and software.This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s) :NoneThis requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s) :Top Secret / SCIWork Location Type : HybridHybrid• MITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
