Modern Treasury is the operating system for money movement. Our payment operations platform combines a suite of APIs and dashboards to help companies unlock new payments revenue, strengthen customer experiences, and drive efficiency through their business. Our end-to-end platform moves enterprises forward with faster payments, efficient workflows, full data visibility, and seamless bank integrations.

ABOUT OUR  PRODUCTS

Modern Treasury’s core platform sits at the intersection of our customers and their banks. We have built an easy-to-use, common interface into the banking system. Our customers use our products to move money to or from their users, automate infrastructure tasks, and track their transactions in a ledger. The current market share of companies with a business case to leverage our product suite is over $750 trillion a year.

Our API is often the most critical piece of infrastructure that our customers use. We place a premium on building robust, scalable systems that can sustain a high volume of API calls and exceed the reliability requirements to move money at scale. We complement this with well-thought out interfaces for our users and pride in writing quality API docs.

ABOUT YOU

As an engineering intern, you will work cross functionally with various teams to build products and features for our users. Your focus will be on building payment products that are innovative and modern. As an early-stage engineering intern, you will help shape the engineering culture of a fast-growing unicorn startup.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or a related field

• Strong interest in Fintech technology and/or learning more about it

• Posses an authentic interest in getting to know our engineers, products, the culture, and our values

• Previous internship experience is advantageous but not required

• A big plus if you happen to have payments or banking experience

• Ruby on Rails on the backend

• React, GraphQL, and Tailwind CSS on the front end

• Postgres for our database

• Redis for caching

• AWS for infrastructure and hosting

• Docker for containerization

• GitHub for source code management

• Buildkite for continuous integration

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

• You’ll be working in either the San Francisco or New York City office

• 12 week paid internship starting around May 28th

• Structured onboarding and trainings

• Write and ship high quality code starting within the first few days and deliver a major project within the first few weeks

• Organized intern events throughout the summer with your team, other MT interns and colleagues from non-tech teams as well.
