Our Wealth Management team is seeking a Money Movement Specialist. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused, and team-oriented, and are able to execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Effectively identify and evaluate risk when reviewing client account asset (cash/securities) movement requests including but not limited to check journals, ACH, and currency wires (foreign and domestic)
  • Provide service excellence to our clients and internal branch partners via inbound and outbound phone calls
  • Problem-solve and conduct research/special requests through the use of email, telephone, and our internal inquiry system
  • Identifying situations where escalation is warranted and taking the necessary action quickly in a high-risk environment
  • Handle escalated calls when warranted and resolve client issues by taking appropriate action quickly in a high-risk environment
  • Stay current on AML trends, risks, and red flags necessary to proactively detect fraudulent activity
  • Cross-train with other service departments as needed to provide additional support and backup coverage when needed
  • Proactive in finding ways to improve processes and procedures
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned

Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to obtain FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses
  • Strong client service skills
  • Ability to listen and explain complex subjects in simpler terms
  • Strong understanding of AML, KYC regulations and red flags
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks, while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, and quickly develop a full understanding of our business
  • Strong initiative and desire to learn new things and help the team however needed

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range is $65,000-$85,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the individual and the firm's performance. At Wedbush, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near, the top of the range for their role. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
