Monstro is seeking a Regional Director of Business Development, Middle East based in the Middle East to help lead our expansion into key regional markets. This is a critical role for someone deeply embedded in the region’s financial ecosystem — someone who brings credibility, trust, and firsthand understanding of both the institutional and consumer banking landscape.
You’ll act as Monstro’s trusted partner in the region, opening doors to bank executives, guiding our team on what truly resonates in-market, and influencing how we shape and localize our product and go-to-market strategy. You’ll work directly with Monstro’s executive team to bring both strategic insight and tactical support as we build momentum in Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and beyond.
The ideal candidate is a former bank executive, innovation leader, or regional expert who is energized by disrupting the status quo. You understand how financial institutions operate, where they’re stuck, and how tech can unlock value. You’re fluent in both Arabic and English and have the presence, network, and experience to represent Monstro with confidence and credibility across the region.
This role will begin as an advisory or part-time engagement with room to expand into a full-time position as our Middle East business grows.

Strategic Market Enablement
Leverage existing relationships to open doors with C-level executives at banks and financial institutions
Serve as a trusted regional face of Monstro, helping establish credibility and accelerate conversations
Represent Monstro in key meetings with institutional partners, either independently or alongside the executive team
Product & Design Partnership
Advise Monstro’s product and design teams on regional pain points, UX expectations, and local financial norms
Offer insights into consumer behavior, regulatory context, and operational constraints in target Middle East markets
Help localize messaging, feature positioning, and overall user experience to drive adoption and resonance
Innovation & Insights Leadership
Provide a grounded, insider perspective on the current state of banking in the Middle East region — and where innovation can thrive
Identify opportunities for Monstro to differentiate and add value based on real institutional and consumer needs
Act as a thought partner to the executive team in shaping Monstro’s global expansion strategy through a Middle Eastern lens
Scalability & Growth Support
Advise on local hiring, partnerships, and operational strategies as Monstro grows in the region
Help evaluate in-country talent and organizational structure needs as we scale up
Play a role in establishing our reputation as a forward-thinking, trustworthy fintech partner in the Middle East
Experience & Market Understanding
Deep professional background in the Middle East banking and financial sector — ideally as a senior leader at a bank, fintech, or government-adjacent institution
Strong existing relationships across banks, regulators, and ecosystem leaders in Kuwait, Oman, and/or Qatar
Clear understanding of institutional operations, product constraints, and digital transformation challenges in the region
Skills & Mindset
Bilingual: Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and verbal
Strong communicator with the presence and gravitas to influence executives
Passion for innovation, financial inclusion, and driving real change through technology
Comfortable advising across product, design, and sales conversations
