The Software Engineer role is tasked to develop and evolve Rave's platform and ensure that reliability, performance, and security are incorporated into everything we do. With this opportunity, you will use your computer science background and engineering expertise to shape Rave’s platform-wide approach for managing, analyzing, and implementing highly reliable mission critical software.Job DescriptionAs a Scrum Master, you will utilize your expert knowledge of Agile and the Scrum Master role to lead successful software product delivery. You will utilize problem solving and interpersonal skills to improve upon the existing Agile Sprints within a scalable suite of critical Alerting and Messaging applications that are a part of the MSI landscape: specifically the Rave Mobile Safety Platform.What you'll do:• Help lead 3-4 Agile teams to success by working cross-functionally to drive discussions & engagement within the SDLC• Utilize your Scrum Master experience and training to answer Agile questions and mentor Agile teams• Partner with the Product team to achieve Product roadmap delivery goals• Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, refinements, planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum-related ceremonies• Empower the teams to self-organize• Promote transparency by promoting proper communication techniques• Measure and report on team velocity and sprint/release progress• Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility• Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on Product & Sprint Backlog• Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practice• Support the Engineering managers and Product Owners as necessary• Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and definition• Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal and Product roadmap• Ensure the team strives to make each increment of functionality potentially ship-able• Help establish and run Scrum of Scrums process as we scaleBasic RequirementsWho you are:• 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master• 5+ years technology related industry experience• Excellent team player and team builder• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a very dynamic and timeline sensitive work environment• Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures• Experience facilitating cross functional collaboration• Certification in one or more; Agile, SAFe, Scrum Master, Project Management• Knowledge of Agile tracking tools like JIRA, Confluence, EazyBI, etc.#LI-WC1#LI-REMOTETravel RequirementsNoneRelocation ProvidedNonePosition TypeExperiencedReferral Payment PlanYesEEO StatementMotorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
