Senior Engineering Manager

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead and scale high-performing teams, ensuring the successful delivery of technical projects while fostering an inclusive and innovative engineering culture.

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to oversee multiple teams and contribute to our technical vision and execution. In this role, you will balance hands-on technical guidance with strategic leadership, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. You Will:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams across various time zones to ensure high performance and engagement.

  • Manage project roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation, aligned with Movement Labs’ core values of ownership, integrity, grit, respect, and solution-driven focus.

  • Provide guidance on architecture, development practices, and technical decision-making to ensure scalable and reliable solutions.

  • Partner with Product, Developer Relations, Business Development, and other cross-functional teams to align priorities and deliver on strategic goals.

  • Establish and track metrics to measure team performance, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.

  • Attract, hire, and onboard top talent to scale the engineering organization effectively.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in engineering, with 3+ years in management roles, preferably in high-growth startups or technology companies.

  • Strong background in software development, with knowledge of relevant technologies such as Rust, Go, distributed systems, or blockchain.

  • Proven ability to lead teams across multiple time zones.

  • Track record of managing and delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.

  • Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams and align engineering efforts with broader business objectives.

  • Solution-driven mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.

You May Have:

  • Experience with blockchain protocols, smart contract development, or decentralized applications (dApps).

  • Knowledge of Move or Rust.

  • Proven ability to scale teams and processes in a startup environment.
