Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Lead Registered Nurse for Endoscopy as a full-time Nurse.
The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability of patient care by applying the nursing process; care provided will address physical, psychosocial and discharge needs; the Registered Nurse guides and supervises assigned nursing personnel, collaborates with other healthcare professionals, coordinates ancillary services and functions within the policies and procedures of the hospital and the legal framework of the State of Tennessee; the Registered Nurse demonstrates ongoing professional growth and self-development. This candidate will serve as Lead and also float to clinics when needed.
*This is a 40/hr a week position with staggered start and stop times (between 7:30am-5:00pm). On-call evenings, weekend and holiday requirements)*
As a Lead Registered Nurse (RN), you will:
· Provides care for individuals based upon age-specific needs utilizing a developmental perspective
· Serve as Lead RN and perform duties such as assigning staffing, handling any concerns from staff and patients, etc.
· Systematically and continuously collects, records, and appropriately communicates data regarding the infant'/family's health status
· Evaluates and documents patients responses to all interventions and procedures carried out both on a physical, psychological, and developmental basis
· Develops plan of nursing care in conjunction with the individual/parent/guardian and/or family and includes expected outcomes appropriate for the nursing diagnosis and unique patient/family needs
· Actively participates in patient education by appropriately utilizing available resources and adjusting it to meet the patient's individual needs and level of understanding
· Consults, re-evaluates, and revises multidisciplinary plan of care based on patient's progress and behaviors
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Graduate of an approved nursing program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing Required
· Active license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Tennessee
· BLS required
· 1 year experience as Registered Nurse, Endoscopy experience preferred
