In this role you will architect and implement advanced EDA verification frameworks at Natcast's CHIPS for America R&D Flagship Facility, developing sophisticated infrastructure that enables breakthrough semiconductor design innovation.
Every day you will optimize verification methodologies and collateral development, working at the intersection of EDA tools and semiconductor design while creating robust frameworks that accelerate America's chip development capabilities.
To thrive in this role you must combine deep EDA expertise with infrastructure development experience, demonstrating both technical mastery and strategic thinking while advancing semiconductor verification capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Architect and implement comprehensive EDA verification frameworks, including development of scalable infrastructure supporting multiple design teams and technology nodes
Develop and optimize advanced verification methodologies that enhance productivity and ensure robust verification coverage across diverse design requirements
Create and maintain standardized verification collaterals, including templates, libraries, and reusable components that accelerate design verification processes
Design and implement automated verification flows incorporating industry best practices and emerging methodologies
Establish and document verification standards and procedures that ensure consistency and quality across multiple projects
Lead evaluation and deployment of new EDA tools and technologies, including assessment of capabilities, performance, and integration requirements
Guide development of verification infrastructure supporting both local and distributed computing environments
Implement robust version control and configuration management systems for verification collaterals
Create comprehensive technical documentation covering verification flows, methodologies, and best practices
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to verification teams across multiple projects
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in verification methodologies and processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align verification infrastructure with broader technical requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
MS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 15+ years of hands-on experience in EDA tool development and deployment
Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing verification methodologies across multiple technology nodes
Extensive experience with industry-standard verification tools and environments (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor)
Deep knowledge of UVM methodology and other advanced verification frameworks
Strong background in scripting languages (Perl, Python, TCL) for automation and tool integration
Proven track record of developing and maintaining verification infrastructure supporting large design teams
Experience with continuous integration and regression testing frameworks
Expertise in version control systems and configuration management tools
Strong understanding of compute farm requirements and distributed computing environments
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
Excellence in cross-functional collaboration and team leadership
Track record of successful verification methodology deployment

Experience with cloud-based EDA environments
Background in developing custom verification tools
Knowledge of machine learning applications in verification
