This position can be located in Brooklyn, NY; Waltham, MA or Syracuse, Buffalo or Albany, NY.Job PurposeThe Early Careers team, within Performance & Development, is responsible for the onboarding, induction, and development of our Gridterns, Graduates and Future Leaders. These programs seek to attract and develop our people to help build tomorrows workforce today.Key AccountabilitiesWe are looking for a motivated individual to join National Grid and lead the delivery of our development events for our 2024 Graduate cohort, whilst working on a project to implement key changes to the Graduate program for the 2025 cohort to take our program to the next level. As the lead in the team, the individual will work with our US Early Careers Specialist to achieve all the activities required of the role.The ideal candidate will be energetic, proactive, and have experience with managing multiple projects at once. Early Careers is a global team and with this brings opportunities to collaborate with colleagues in the UK who are delivering programmes for the same audiences.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):• Plan and facilitate regular development sessions for our 2024 Graduate cohort – including delivering a final celebration event as part of their Capstone project presentations.• Support the Early Careers Specialist with the planning and facilitation of the Gridterns program.• Work with the Head of Early Careers and Early Careers Specialist to implement a new look orientation and development program for our Graduates from 2025 onwards.• Understand and be able to articulate the full Performance and Development offerings to assist People Partners and managers across the business.• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (Early Careers Recruitment, Managers, People Partners, Executives) to communicate the changes to the program to the business.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or another related field required, along with 3-5 years of experience within Human Resources, preferably with a focus on talent development.• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and follow up and exceptional time management skills.• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively to both internal and external clients along with excellent project management and organizational skills.• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to evaluate, produce routine reports and make recommendations based on analysis within a fast-paced environment.• This role requires driving and as such a valid driver’s license is required.More Information#LI-MR1 #LI-HYBRIDSalary$126k - $148k a year in Brooklyn, NY.$105k - $123k a year in Syracuse, Albany or Buffalo, NY.$117k - $138k a year in Waltham, MA.This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
