Applying to this opportunity confirms your interest in being considered for one or more of the below departments for summer 2025:Customer Digital Delivery (Brooklyn, NY)Our Marketing Products team, within Customer Experience Products team, manages the company's digital marketing channels including social media, text, and email for message effectiveness and increased self-service transactions among customers. As a Gridtern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to creating social and web content as well as work with members of the Group (UK based) team.Customer - Energy Transition Solutions – (Brooklyn, NY)Our Customer Energy Transition Solutions team develops new solutions for customers to maximize the value from the clean energy transition. We focus on solutions that enable National Grid to optimize its electric distribution grid and decarbonize its gas network. As a Gridtern, you will support the development of existing and new initiatives that include external peer benchmarking, data analysis, customer insights development, business model development and program design, support on regulatory filings, and stakeholder management.Market Segmentation & Growth (Brooklyn, NY)Our Market Segmentation & Growth team supports internal departments growth through segmentation by leveraging analytics. The team partners with various organizations across our company to identify gaps in offerings and customer experiences across the Commercial & Industrial segments and collaborates with these teams to find solutions that improve our customers satisfaction and participation in our programs. As a Gridtern, you will help with developing various tools and analysis that help this team gain better understanding of our segments' challenges and opportunities, our community presence within Chambers and industry organizations. You will also help facilitate team meetings, help develop presentations, manage and maintain the teams SharePoint site, and oversee the production of periodic newsletters/business cases highlighting the work and impact of the team.National Grid Ventures US Northeast – PMO and Risk Management (Brooklyn, NY)Our National Grid Ventures team is at the forefront of the energy transition. National Grid Ventures US Northeast develops, operates, and invests in large-scale clean energy infrastructure. Our team manages NGV's offshore wind PMO and strategic risk assessment and management for the entire US Northeast portfolio. As a Gridtern, you will conduct market research and participate in internal stakeholder interviews to identify progress or risks against strategic objectives and document findings.NGV Corporate Affairs (Brooklyn, NY)Our National Grid Ventures – Corporate Affairs team leads the forefront work of our clean energy transition. This team operates in competitive energy markets across the UK and US, developing, operating, and investing in large-scale clean energy infrastructures to accelerate our society's drive towards net zero while at the same time helping to maintain a security of supply for today. In addition, this team assists our National Grid Ventures - US Northeast business by providing government relations, communications, and community relations expertise for existing projects and new business development. As a Gridtern, you will attend both in person and virtual events and meetings and provide summaries; track legislative and political activity, share information with the wider team, and write newsletter updates for dissemination across the company. In addition, you will assist with slide deck development for internal and external audiences along with learning more about the energy industry and NGV's business.Plant Accounting (Brooklyn, NY)Our Plant Accounting team drives the timely and accurate accounting of Property, Plant andEquipment, ensuring the proper accounting, analysis, reconciliation, and accuracy of financial data across the Record to Report business activities and Fixed Assets Processes. We support over $30 billion of net fixed assets across all US operating companies. As a Gridtern, you will primarily work with the work order lifecycle team including looking for opportunities for automation and targeted process improvements projects.What You’ll Need• Availability to start on program start date, May 27, 2025, and work full-time (40 hours a week) throughout your duration of the summer• Registered in school as a full-time student and continuing education full-time for Fall 2025 Semester• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, or Master's degree• Majoring in Business, Marketing, Design, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math, Data Analytics, IT, or a related field• Accumulated 18 or more credits and be 18 years of age• Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (including CPT & OPT)• Some Gridtern positions will require a valid US Driver’s license with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy. Our Gridtern Program does not offer relocation, housing assistance, or public transportation reimbursement for Gridterns; however, we can provide a list of resources to utilize in making your arrangements.Please note that as a Gridtern, you must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
