Job Description

KASA Telemundo Nuevo México is looking for a Commercial Producer to create, plan and execute local sales/marketing/branding/promotional campaigns. The ideal candidate will directly work with and report to the Creative Services Director and collaborate with the station VP of Sales.

  • Create full TV production and execute exceptional marketing/branding/promotional campaigns that will serve as the foundation in the overall image of the station, from concept to broadcast and other platforms. Including but not limited to conceptualization, writing scripts in Spanish and English , on location shoots, lighting, and camera operation.
  • Work directly with the Creative Director, Head of News, News Producers and Reporters to obtain information and video for production of promotional promos to push viewers to Noticias 60 Telemundo newscasts.
  • Develop and distribute key creative collateral and material for “out-of-home” branding and marketing campaigns.
  • Assist Creative Services Director on special projects and/or assignments as needed.
  • Responsible for placing promotional spots in Wide Orbit (traffic system).
  • Transport, set up and operate all camera, lighting and audio equipment.
  • Assist with costumes, props, or other additional equipment or personnel needed to complete the production while on location.
  • In post-production, selects footage, rough cuts, audio adjustment, edits, add graphics, voice over, music bed and include sound effects to create the final product utilizing Adobe Suite.
  • Responsible for the quality of each commercial/promotional spot produced.
  • Quality control can involve several duties, such as verifying accurate information and placing legal disclaimers into advertisement spots if required.
  • Producer must also verify that commercials/promo spots meet certain legal and broadcasting standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in media production, communications or similar field.
  • 2 years’ experience with local station marketing or commercial production.
  • Ability to work with audio and video equipment.
  • Must write creative scripts that communicates station/clients’ message(s) effectively in both English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional skills with the Adobe Suite.
  • Experience with the latest video camera and editing techniques.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, work independently, or in a team setting.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.

Desired Characteristics

  • Proficiency in graphic design/animation.
  • Bilingual, proficient in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of social media marketing.
  • Strong understanding of US Hispanic and/or Multicultural/Ethnic consumers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
