Are you up for the dare?This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.POSITION SUMMARY:As Machinist C, you will be responsible for operating a CNC Okuma or Mazak machine, setting up the machine to specifications, and performing maintenance on the machine as needed. The Machinist C is also responsible for detecting malfunctions and adjusting machine controls as required. Here are some other primary job responsibilities for this position.- Study blueprints or layouts of metal workpieces to determine grinding procedures, and to plan machine setups and operational sequences.- Inspect, feel, and measure workpieces to ensure that surfaces and dimensions meet specifications.- Demonstrate basic CNC programming knowledge with Mastercam and or G code entry.- Measures, marks, and scribes' dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining as necessary.- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures.- Select and mount grinding wheels on machines, according to specifications, using hand tools and applying knowledge of abrasives and grinding procedures.- Compute numbers, widths, and angles of cutting tools, micrometers, scales, and gauges, and adjust tools to produce specified cuts.Requirements- Associates Degree or vocational certificate from technical school, two-year college, or Military equivalent.- 1+ years of experience writing code and operating a vertical CNC mill. Okuma or Mazak experience preferred.The approximate hourly pay this position is $35.03. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
