Nevados is a distributed organization with many team members working remotely, while other roles require an in office and on-site presence. Position Overview:  


Nevados is seeking an experienced Construction Manager who will be focused on customer/EPC installation and project success. The CM will be responsible for onsite support periodically during the installation of the Nevados ATT on projects located throughout the country. The CM will have a deep fundamental understanding of both Utility Scale Solar installations as well as various solar tracker products on the market. Candidates must have the ability to travel to and from job sites up to 25-50% of the time.



The Construction Manager will report into the Director of Project Management and be responsible for managing the execution of the Nevados tracker installation, quality control, golden row training, Nevados certified installer program, and onsite remediation when necessary. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the solar tracker market in all aspects of mechanical installation as well as an understanding of installation manuals, design plans and specifications, and quality control documentation.


Responsibilities
  • Manage mechanical installation of the ATT, ensuring adherence to quality and installation standards.
  • Develop expertise in Nevados’ systems, including design, installation manuals, and quality control documentation.
  • Produce daily reports and maintain detailed knowledge of Nevados’ design, product specifications, and installation guidelines.
  • Be on-site part-time during key installation phases, including foundation layout, racking, and module installation.
  • Act as the primary on-site contact, manage RFIs, and handle material/delivery issues, including documentation and coordination with supply chain.
  • Facilitate product training and ensure appropriate tooling is used.
  • Oversee first installations and ensure compliance with design and QC criteria.
  • Conduct time studies/usability surveys with site team, compile feedback and report back to Nevados
  • This role will also serve as the Nevados Certified Training Program coordinator (as needed)


Prior Experience and Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years in the solar industry, including 4+ years managing Utility Scale Solar installations and 3+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with AC/DC systems, PV modules, and document management.
  • Ability to travel to and from job sites up to 25-50% of the time.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s license and ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various conditions and handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction documentation
