New Business Executive

Job Location: Second Home, Shoreditch, London / Remote UK, able to come in to London office one day per week


Reporting to: Sales Director


Responsible for all new business in to the company.

To be the first personal point of contact for any new business for the company for both Direct customers and potential Partners. This is a pivotal role on the start of any customer journey as the first impressions they have of us will set the scene moving forward. It should show us to be approachable, professional and efficient in handling their need to solve a problem using our products.

For both Direct customers and Partner enquiries the aim is to get the first order in to the company whilst coordinating the hand over to other teams on enablement and growth thereafter. You will be working closely with both the Partner Account Managers and Customer Experience as once the first order is placed by a partner the Partner Account Manager will ultimately look after the account on an ongoing basis.

For suitable candidates this role would develop into a Partner Account Manager when a role becomes available as a next career step.


Key Tasks / Responsibilities

Direct (end-user) customer enquiries

  • Manage our Direct Inbound Sales from Lead Order achieving monthly sales targets
  • Review and monitor the inbound process, suggest changes required to smooth the experience and gain efficiencies
  • Work closely with the marketing team on initiatives to develop inbound leads
  • Assist where required on annual renewals
  • Outbound calling to existing customers on up-sell and cross-sell campaigns


Channel Partner enquiries

  • Manage our Channel inbound sales leads from enquiry through to placing their first order
  • Review and monitor the inbound processes, suggest changes required to smooth the experience and gain efficiencies
  • Fact finding and vetting of partners to determine their suitability for the partner program
  • Work with the marketing team on initiatives to develop inbound leads
  • Undertake outbound calling campaigns to generate new partners
  • Act as cover for Partner Account Managers when on leave


General administration

  • Maintain the company CRM with all aspects of communications and progress of new business
  • Order processing and administration
  • Assist other team members where necessary at busy periods

Please note: You may be asked from time to time to perform tasks outside of this role in order to maintain the smooth running of the sales team.

Requirements

Required

  • An understanding of the sales process from lead through to closing an order
  • Experience with outbound calling - ie won't be concerned about cold calling channel partners
  • Good administrational skills with a methodical approach to processing orders
  • A willingness to muck in and help across the team


Advantageous

  • Have worked with software sales, ideally a Saas product
  • Channel partner account management
  • Cybersecurity experience
  • Experience working within a start-up environment
