St. Elizabeth is looking for Cooks with no experience required! Join our new and exciting training program! You will learn beside our Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs learning all the tools of the trade! We offer a full benefits package and competitive starting rate.
Responsibilities
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- Cook food in various utensils or grillers.
- Check food while cooking.
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
- Check quality of ingredients.
Earn while you learn!
- Gaining experience as cook, restaurant cook, or restaurant cook equivalent, including experience in meat preparation, breading and frying, baking, etc.
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, frying, making sauces from scratch, etc.)and methods of measurement (such as oven temperature)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures and safety rules.
