The Merchandising team has the unique ability to see beyond trends to identify what’s next to deliver the right product to the right places at the right time and price.“As the Merchant II on the Kids Performance Apparel team, you will support the Performance team as we create distinct, consumer-right assortments – with a sharp view of the marketplace. You’ll work across Running, Fitness, Basketball, and Global Football, partnering across multiple functions, geographies, and cross consumer partners. It will be important to be manage multiple timelines at once as we evolve our Global Merchandising Strategy to best serve our consumers.”WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORFor Nike merchants, everything begins and ends with the consumer! You have an entrepreneurial spirit and excited to take on new concepts and ideas.WHAT YOU WILL WORK ONYou will enable the strategizing, building, and managing of global 3-year line plans and product journeys cross-functionally.A consistent part of your day-to-day responsibilities will be the detailed management, maintenance and communication of all seasonal tools and assortments. Enabling this effort will be the development of key relationships among cross-functional teammates, comfort with research and analysis, along with a genuine curiosity and commitment to learn and evolve.WHO YOU WILL WORK WITHYou’ll partner with several cross-functional teams – consumer planning, product creation, GEO merch, and consumer insights & analytics as well as the gender merchandising teams. A key enabler of your success will be your background and experience in retail.WHAT YOU BRING• Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a combination of relevant experience• 2+ years of experience in Retail, Merchandising, Product Management, Marketplace, Buying, or relevant experience• Demonstrated understanding of consumer and marketplace• Entrepreneurial spirit, experience working on new projects/start-ups/concepts/ideas• Proficiency in analyzing business and consumer trends• Attention to detail• Ability to collaboratively manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentations to various cross-functional partners• Team first mentality, energy giverWe will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
