Nokia Technologies is licensing Nokia intellectual property, including patents, technologies, and the Nokia brand, building on Nokia’s continued innovation and decades of R&D leadership in technologies deployed in virtually all connected devices used today. Come join us and make an impact!

The Wireline Networks patenting team within Nokia Technologies is mandated to develop and maintain patent porfolios that may be leveraged for the benefit of the IP Networking, Optical Networking and Fixed Networking businesses of Nokia.

What you will learn and contribute to

Are you interested in working alongside inventors to protect intellectual property coming from Nokia research and industry-leading businesses of IP Networks, Optical Networks and Fixed Networks?

As part of our team, you will:

Identify, evaluate and select inventions to patent, and maintain porfolios for one or more technology areas
Manage patent applications, including drafting, filing and prosecution, and opposition proceedings when required
Provide support to Nokia businesses, including invention mining, patent training, and other advice
Prepare claim charts in view of any product use of our patent

Your skills and experience

You have:

At least 5 years patent-related experience, including working with inventors, development of patent portfolios, and prosecution of patent applications, and claim charting
Engineering Degree and practical experience with any of the following technologies: ideally IP switching & routing, network management, datacenter infrastructure, optical components, optical transmission, and also PON, WiFi, FWA
Patent Attorney, or registered Agent with standing to practice before the USPTO or the EPO, or you are on your way to obtain those qualifications

It would be nice if you also had:

In-house patenting experience particularly at a large telecommunications or similar corporationű

United States Salary Range: US Annual Base Salary Range*: $141,470 - $262,730 USD * Plus, potential incentive/variable compensation for eligible roles.
