We're looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our team and drive data-driven decision-making. You will use your expertise combined with our massive dataset to inform product strategy, improve operational efficiency, and enhance NoRedInk’s ability to help teachers and students in improving their language and writing skills every day.Notice: Unfortunately, we’ve discovered a phishing scam targeting NoRedInk applicants; please see below to learn more*.Responsibilities:• Deliver Business Insights: Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvements, such as optimizing product features, enhancing user experience, and improving operational efficiency.• Build Engaging Reporting: Build dashboards to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations. Use BI tools to create interactive data visualizations and narratives to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with various departments, understanding their data needs, and advise them on how best to utilize NoRedInk’s data.• Write Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation of data pipelines, data analysis processes, findings, and insights.Qualifications and Skills:• Have 3+ years of professional experience as a data analyst, a business analyst or a data scientist.• Excellent SQL skills for writing and optimizing complex queries.• Expert in exploratory data analyses (EDA) applying probabilistic and statistical methods to uncover trends and patterns.• Excellent storytelling and visualization skills with the ability to communicate complex findings effectively.• Familiarity with Python programming for data manipulation, analysis and visualization.• Familiarity with data warehousing (Snowflake or similar) and data transformation tools (DBT or similar).• Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Sigma or similar) for data exploration and reporting.• Experience working on data pipelines and ELT processes is a bonus.• Experience in improving ELT processes through automation is also a bonus.What NoRedInk Offers:• A competitive salary and equity package in a well-funded startup with strong product-market fit• Excellent health, vision, and dental benefits (U.S. Only)• 100% remote work environment• Flexible PTO and paid parental leave• 401(k) (U.S. Only)• LinkedIn Learning subscription with unlimited access to thousands of expert-led online courses• Team retreats and events to connect with fun, talented coworkers• The ability to help millions of students and teachers and address a critical societal needAbout NoRedInk:NoRedInk helps students in over 60% of US school districts become better writers.
