Position Title: Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
Locations: Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA
Starting Range: $98,550 - $111,363 per year | Full Range: $98,550 - $124,176 per year
As our Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will have the opportunity to influence, learn from and partner with a high-performing team whose needs span across all levels of the organization from executive to individual contributor. What You Will Do
Financial Management
- Act as financial owner for the @Amazon team ensuring the accuracy of our financial information and provide reporting and analysis to both NWC and Amazon key stakeholders including executive leadership.
- Serve as Finance POC for our Northeast division, responsible for partnering with senior leaders to manage all financial aspects of the business
- Partner with leadership to manage the annual budget process and ensure functional plans and corporate goals are in alignment. Work to improve the budget process, making it more adaptive and dynamic, with the ability to report at a granular and summary level as needed.
- Communicate financial information and track program budgets, forecasting potential changes and working with leadership to mitigate any shortfall to budget. Identify variances and what is driving them and work with stakeholders to keep the team on track to meet financial objectives.
- Manage the monthly financial close, including accruals, reclasses, and expense classifications.
- Own the Amazon Purchase Order (PO) process, ensuring each PO budget is on track and working with leadership on amending and creating new Purchase Orders as needed.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of program budget spends, contact and hold vendors accountable to agreed upon service levels.
- Monitor and establish financial controls for the division including creation of a spend authority matrix.
- Manage our various systems, including but not limited to banking/credit cards and our Amazon Business account used for supplies purchases.
Financial Reporting
- Provide financial leadership to the NWC organization by supporting the creation of monthly financial reporting and analysis, monthly and quarterly business reviews, and working with internal stakeholders and our clients/customers to identify and track KPI’s.
- Create easy to understand dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate financial information to the team and keep them on track to achieve financial goals.
- Manage and track headcount reporting and analysis and partner with managers and the recruiting team to track vacancies and quantify revenue/profit impact.
- Collaborate with corporate FP&A team members to drive process improvements and share best practices.
- Develop new business proformas and provide ad-hoc reporting/analysis as requested.
Trusted Advisor to Leadership
- Provide timely and accurate information and data-driven insights on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and standardized business metrics.
- Ability to clearly communicate high level strategy and details effectively across disciplines, locations, and organizations, including to executive leadership

Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of experience in an FP&A role in a high performing program environment
- Intermediate level Excel skills at minimum with solid understanding of pivot tables, v-lookups, and sumifs; able to work with data to provide value added analysis and insights to leadership.
- Hands-on experience in a financial planning software (Preferred experience in Vena).

- Organization, planning, and business skills alongside strategic thinking ability; able to prioritize multiple, sometimes competing projects and manage time effectively
- Excellent attention to detail with focus on providing timely and accurate information.
- Keen understanding for how to deliver excellent results within a talented team, as well as being able to drive change across other organizations

- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals, across globally-distributed teams
- Experience in budget management and oversight over company P&L and operational planning to meet financial targets preferred
- Experience in Capacity Planning preferred
- Detailed-oriented and thorough, with the ability to see the “big picture”
- Regularly seeks new and improved methodologies for enhancing the effectiveness of the organization. Employs imagination and creativity in the application of duties and responsibilities. Most importantly, you are not averse to change.
- Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- The ability to work nights and weekends as needed
