Role:
Northwood is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Integration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating, assembling, and testing electronic and mechanical components for phased array ground station antennas and related systems. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure the seamless integration of hardware, including PCB rework, soldering, and harness fabrication. Your work will help ensure the reliability and functionality of advanced RF and avionics systems.
Responsibilities:
Perform electronics integration, including assembling and connecting phased array antenna systems and components according to technical specifications and engineering drawings.
Conduct PCB rework and component-level soldering, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
Fabricate and integrate electrical harnesses and cables
Assemble antenna mechanical support structures
Execute and support testing of subsystems and full arrays, including RF testing and troubleshooting, using tools like spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
Assist with the configuration and setup of test equipment to verify electronic systems’ performance.
Maintain detailed documentation of work, including test procedures, results, and any issues encountered during integration and testing.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams, providing feedback and supporting design iterations for optimal integration.
Adhere to industry best practices, safety protocols, and quality standards in all integration and testing activities.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience building electro-mechanical systems and/or wire harness fabrication and integration
Familiarity with electrical harness fabrication and integration, including cable routing and connector assembly.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience using electronics test equipment (multimeters, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Experience in the integration of avionics or RF systems, particularly in aerospace, defense, or communications sectors.
Experience in using hand and power tools
Basic understanding of electronics principles
