Complex conditions like COPD and congestive heart failure (CHF) are incredibly challenging to manage. People who are already struggling with isolation and the burden of these conditions become increasingly frustrated and disengaged, eventually falling through the cracks and landing in the ER. This cycle perpetuates poor health outcomes and excessive medical costs.

TWO DAYS/WEEK ONSITE IN PRESCOTT, AZ
THREE DAYS/WEEK WORKING REMOTELY
What you’ll be responsible for:
•Manage appointment scheduling for patients, ensuring an organized and efficient flow of patients through the facility.
•Collect and update patient information, including demographics, medical history, medications, allergies, and insurance details.
•Reviewing, working, and managing tasks received in the EHR.
•Managing electronic health records (EHR) by accurately recording patient data, test results, and treatment plans.
•Assisting with billing procedures, coding medical procedures accurately for insurance claims, and handling financial transactions.
•Verifying patient insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations for medical procedures.
•Supporting inbound calls for our patients
•Communicating with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals via phone and email.
•Following up on imaging, lab, DME orders as well as referrals.
•Gathering patient medical history and relevant information before appointments.
•Checking patients in and preparing patients for their telehealth visit. ,
•Educating patients on medications, and post-treatment care, along with preventive health measures and healthy lifestyle practices.
This may be a fit if you have:
•Associates degree related to this field
•Completion of a Medical Assistant Program OR 1 year of Medical Assistant
•Experience with EHR- Athena is a Plus!
