Specify clear, actionable requirements while enabling space for innovation across mechanical and signal integrity domains
Work closely with customers and vendors to understand challenges, capture insights, and drive alignment from concept through execution
Navigate the ME/SI tradeoff space, ensuring robust mechanical designs while respecting signal integrity constraints
Lead or support root cause analysis of mating and mechanical issues, and continuously refine design for manufacturability and reliability
Drive fast-turn prototyping and MP cycle time optimization
Encourage internal and external collaborators with our vision — and deliver on it with clarity, precision, and excellence!
Travel to vendors, manufacturers, and customers (20%) to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment
What we need to see:
B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, with strong working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
8+ years experience in high-speed cable and connector design and manufacturing
Proven ability to lead product roadmap development and balance technical tradeoffs between signal integrity and mechanical constraints
Deep understanding of mating issues, connector mechanics, and high-speed performance limitations
Experience working cross-functionally with customers, vendors, and internal R&D/engineering teams
Excellent communication and collaborator management skills
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Background in SI/ME co-design for high-speed (>=100Gbps per lane) interconnects
Familiarity with high-speed design tools, FEA/thermal/mechanical modeling, and lab measurement techniques
Previous ownership of product lifecycle from concept through manufacturing
Passion for innovation and industry leadership
