Serving as both a creator and guardian of NYU Langone's brand positioning, they will be the lead style guide driver across all communications and marketing channels, and lead agency relationships to evolve the brand tone and style guide, and mentor creative teams to maintain consistent execution. They will stay on top of emerging creative trends, helping the department develop creative direction that resonate across all channels. The design lead will collaborate closely with leaders and brand ambassadors across the organization to ensure a superior brand experience.Job Responsibilities:Brand Experience LeadershipDirect external agencies and designers to deliver an innovative, ownable creative platform and style guide that support corporate branding goals.Mentor and inspire all creative partners and graphic designers.Set and deploy creative standards and guidelines to elevate brand experience.Review creative work being developed by all teams to ensure best creative fit for each format and audience.Manage Brand Center assets, including identifying and the development of new assetsProvide clear guidance on applying our brand guidelines to maintain an elevated look and feel across all channels.Lead quality control process to ensure creative asset development is clear, concise, on-brand, and highly competitive.Drive innovation and helps push creative executions across all relevant channels and vehicles, bringing a creative lens to the conversation.Help leadership team establish aesthetically aligned creative approaches for all projects.Collaboration and InfluenceCollaborate with agencies and internal marketing and communications teams to ensure creative consistency and execution.Ensure all marketing campaigns adhere to brand-specific guidance, and strategies are aligned with the overall vision for NYULH.Strategize with the Advertising Lead and Relationship Leads on the design of marketing campaigns requiring promotion via paid channels.Support team to improve and evolve ways of working when necessary.Participate in developing and managing the implementing the broader Brand, Experience, Creative & Design Teams strategy, collaborating with leaders to drive volume and reputational impact.Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent work experience requiredA minimum of 10 years experience in the creative industry5+ years management experience, including agency managementSuperior creative direction and design management skillsDemonstrated project management skillsProficient Mac and/or PC skills and managerial knowledge of Adobe Creative SuiteAdvanced user in Keynote and PowerPointExperienced in various forms of media and touchpoints (print, digital, environments, patient experience, merchandise, etc.)Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and ability to build strong relationships both internally and externallyDemonstrated orientation towards client serviceProven ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environmentExcellent verbal and written communications skillsA collaborator and problem solverStrict attention to detail and prioritization capabilitiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with a corporate in-house teamProven experience in directing various video projects, including commercials, short and long-form narrative content, and documentaries, is highly desirable.Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Langone Health provides its staff with far more than just a place to work. The salary range for the role is $117,107.95 - $185,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
