OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

We currently have an opening for a Contract Specialist with a minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in the field of contracting and procurement. The experience can be either as a federal government employee, a member of the U.S. military, or as a contractor supporting a federal agency. We are looking for candidates to prepare purchase orders and/or maintain official documentation in files; handle actions related to pre- and post-award; and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years of experience in the field of contracting and procurement with a Bachelor’s degree; or eight (8) years of directly related experience without a degree
  • FAC-C, DAWIA certification, or NCMA certifications is strongly desired
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of and experience with Federal Contracting, such as FAR and other regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Must be able to be on-site 5 days a week.
  • Must be able to obtain or retain a Public Trust clearance
