Senior Backend Engineer - Growth
onX, a pioneer in digital outdoor navigation, is looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join their Growth domain. The team focuses on enhancing user experiences across various onX products.
Skills
- Professional software development experience focusing on API development with Elixir
- Experience in building and debugging distributed, scalable microservices architecture
- Strong knowledge of modern API and systems design
- Solid computer science foundation
- Advocacy for customer-centric solutions
- Mentoring and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in writing high-quality code
Responsibilities
- Building scalable services for new features and products in the onX suite of apps
- Writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests
- Participating in architectural decisions
- Collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Leading by example and embodying company values
- Participating in an on-call schedule to support backend services
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related field (preferred)
