Job Details 

Openly is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) responsible for generating new relationships with prospective agencies looking to sell Openly’s homeowner product. This critical role’s focus is to contact and develop relationships with potential agents while at the same time evaluating whether their business model aligns with Openly’s value proposition and seamlessly transition the agency through the Openly appointment process.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound leads and initiate the agency appointment process by triaging the
    agency against Openly’s appointment process
  • Supplement the pipeline of agency appointments with outbound calls and email
    campaigns
  • Cultivate relationships with the potential agency partners by providing an overview of Openly and understanding how Openly can fit into their business model
  • Be able to do discovery and attain key metrics about agency and their business
  • Build trust with agents by ensuring a seamless transition through the agency appointment process by adhering to Openly’s standard processes and setting
    expectations with the agents
  • Set up meetings between prospective agencies and the Openly business development associates (BDAs)
  • Ensure meetings are held between prospective agents and BDAs
  • Manage and maintain strong data integrity and data hygiene in our CRM across leads,
    opportunities, and accounts
  • Leverage data from opportunities in the pipeline to forecast monthly and quarterly results
  • Provide weekly updates to the team regarding territory goals and objectives

Key Requirements

  • 1-3 years of outstanding sales performance with an ability to drive results and innovate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • 1 or more years of experience in P&C insurance industry required
  • Experience with multiple sales techniques, including cold calling and email campaigns
  • Consistent  track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Passion for helping partner agencies
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and value-based selling skills
  • A customer-centric mindset with the ability to quickly establish trust and credibility
  • Insurance product knowledge and the ability to gather additional knowledge rapidly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Google products along with experience working with a CRM
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Property & casualty insurance producer license, or the ability to get one within the first four weeks of employment

Compensation & Benefits: 

The target salary range represents the budgeted salary range for this position.  Actual compensation for this position will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and skills. We are committed to providing a compensation package that not only reflects the responsibilities and requirements of the role, but also the unique expertise that the chosen candidate will bring to our team.

Target Salary Range
$54,960$65,265 USD

The full salary range shows the min to max salary range for this position.  Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and determined based on various factors including the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.

Full Salary Range
$51,525$85,875 USD

Depending on position, Employees generally are eligible for cash incentive compensation, including commissions for sales eligible roles. In all cases, eligibility for compensation and benefits is subject to applicable plan and policy terms in effect from time to time.
