Job Title: Operations Technician 4 (Hardware)

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Provides technical support for the manufacturing test engineering lab, including installing, maintaining, and repairing lab systems and equipment. Participate in the assembly and testing of prototypes and test fixtures. Responsible for the procurement and inventory management of lab supplies. Provide work direction and mentoring to junior-level operations technicians. Provide support to the customer base consisting of the test group, Contract Manufacturer, and field organization staff. The applicant requires considerable judgment and initiative when working on tasks. The applicant may be required to act as a lead technician on specific projects.

  • Assemble and bring up prototypes, including test verification, debugging and rework.
  • Conducts evaluation and procurement of test equipment and software.
  • Audits lab practices for maintaining TL9000 compliance requirements.
  • Build, test, and verify test fixtures, cables, and adapters.
  • Install, maintain, repair, calibrate and upgrade lab equipment,
  • Conducts physical inventory tracking.
  • Operates thermal test chamber, installs products under test, monitors and supports users.
Job Specifications
  • AS degree in Electronics or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 8 years related experience as test support hardware technician.
  • You'll need good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic electronics and digital and analog theory is required.
  • Experience with failure analysis and troubleshooting skills of complex circuitry to component level is required
  • Able to perform solder rework, including fine pitch SMT components, is required.
  • Experienced with power and hand tools, including drills and wire crimping tools for pins, connectors, lugs, etc.
  • Skilled in testing and debugging equipment, including oscilloscopes, various meters, power supplies, boundary scan tools, component programming software & equipment, and inspection equipment, including high magnification microscopes & cameras.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Windows and, Microsoft Office, Adobe usage.
  • Experienced in Document Control and CAD tools for viewing schematics, BOMs, ECOs etc.
Work environment and physical demands
  • Lab environment.
  • Frequently moves hardware and materials up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Salary: $90,000.00

Maximum Salary:$138,000.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $90,000.00 and $138,000.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
