OP EX Learning Development Transformation Leader

INVISTA is seeking a Learning Development Transformation Leader to support our Gulf Coast facilities (open to discuss work location at various KII/INVISTA offices), join our industry-leading team, and lead the transformation from a model of Training to that of Learning.


Our Team
The selected person will drive the development and implementation of a comprehensive and innovative learning strategy for our organization (operations, maintenance, engineers, leadership). This leader will develop the organization’s capabilities to curate vast amounts of knowledge, apply adult learning techniques, including microlearning, and leverage emerging technologies to drive a culture of learning and self-actualization.


What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy that incorporates emerging technologies such as videos, augmented reality, virtual reality, simulators, and generative AI such as ChatGPT.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to identify and prioritize learning needs, and design and deliver effective learning programs that align with business objectives.
  • Lead or participate in a learning development community of practice and/or center of excellence.
  • Leverage technology and new solutions to create innovative and engaging learning experiences that meet the needs of our diverse workforce.
  • Partner with sites and functional teams to develop and apply organizational capability to curate content from many diverse platforms, setup microlearning modules, and create learning pathways.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning methodologies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership, HR, and other functional teams.
  • Effectively manage projects and resources to deliver high-quality learning programs on time.
  • Leverage data and analytics to assess the impact of learning and development programs, make improvements based on data and feedback, and communicate results to stakeholders.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Relevant industry experience in learning and development, with a minimum 3-year focus on leveraging technology and new solutions to drive learning and development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning methodologies.
  • Experience with curation of knowledge; locating and evaluating valuable content, sorting/organizing/structuring content for ease of access, contextualizing and creating or re-purposing content for diverse work groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and innovatively, and to continuously improve training programs based on feedback and evaluation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience developing microlearning content and using learning tools using digital platforms (Degreed, Canva, Articulate, Video Productions, Microsoft Development Apps, mobile apps, etc.)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience leading a learning transformation involving multiple sites and functional teams.
  • Informal or formal learning and development experience with changing or influencing culture to achieve developmental goals.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools, and other technology platforms used in the design and delivery of learning programs.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as videos, augmented reality, virtual reality, simulators, and generative AI such as ChatGPT.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with software development including agile and scrum methodologies.

Physical and travel Considerations

  • Must be willing to travel as needed, at times up to 50% of time
  • Must be willing to work a modified schedule when needed to support organizational needs.
  • As required on site visits, wear any or all the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, Nomex, gloves, and safety boots.
